HalfCutLemon is a Danish band from Copenhagen, known for their eclectic blend of dream-pop, surf rock, and punkadelic sounds. The band comprises Jesper Christiansen on vocals and keyboards, Jacob Birck Laustsen on drums, Flemming Steen Andersen on bass, and Sigurd (Sigi) Kramer Hansen on guitar.
In the summer of 2017, HalfCutLemon released their debut EP, "This Galaxy Is Ours," featuring five tracks that showcase their unique fusion of punk and psychedelic influences.
Their single "Desert Sun" was released in July 2022, coinciding with the 75th anniversary of the Roswell incident. This instrumental dream-pop track with a surf vibe serves as a soundtrack to the mysterious event.
In August 2022, HalfCutLemon unveiled their album "Oh No It's U-Love!" comprising ten tracks that continue to explore their diverse musical style.
In addition to their original works, the band contributed a rendition of "Hello Skinny" to The Residents' fan-centric project, "I AM A RESIDENT!" in 2018. Their interpretation was selected by the avant-garde icons for inclusion in the CD release.
In 2025, HalfCutLemon returned with a series of new releases. The singles "Ointment," "The Sun Is Dying," and "Disturbance" preceded their second full-length album "This Ain't Real," released in September 2025. The album marks a darker, more textured evolution of their sound while retaining the band's signature genre-blending approach.
