VOYNA return with new studio album "Monsters"

Four years after their unexpected debut album "The Cinvat Bridge" (and the 2023 EP "...And the Heresies"), Voyna are back with new music and a fresh studio album.

What began in 2020 as an uncommitted side project by Golden Apes frontman Peer Lebrecht during the pandemic has long evolved into a self-contained creative cosmos. This project has never denied its origins, yet has consistently sought out new sonic territories, developing a distinct and refreshingly differentiated identity.

Of course, there's that unmistakable timbre — warm and velvety, oscillating between intimacy and distance. Then there's the kaleidoscopic melancholy: monochrome yet shimmering in all shades, like a patina gently lying over every word and note. But there's also a certain brightness breaking through: a playful openness and an easy disregard for stylistic boundaries.

From the ethereal nostalgia of "All Your Ways" to the pounding, distorted restlessness of "Days of Light" to the fragile, enveloping melancholy of the title track to the minimalist elegance of the first single "Wrong Face" it's almost impossible to predict which atmospheric direction or emotional landscape the next song will lead you into.

It's precisely this sense of unpredictability that defines the album's charm. Monsters is in constant motion, surprising, challenging and musically captivating at every turn. (Vito Schneider)

Monsters was mixed and mastered by Thommy Hein at Thommy Hein Studios in Berlin, and was released on 28 November 2025 via Aenaos Records.
