Following "Fingerprints", his 2025 solo debut, Danish artist Nils Lassen returns with "Under Your Spell", the first single from his upcoming album "Rain Steam Speed", due 4 September 2026. Out on 15 May 2026, the song moves through a suspended, uncertain space where love reveals its strange and transformative force.
At the heart of "Under Your Spell" lies an image of emptiness and longing: the snow globe stands hollow, the fortune teller has left the building, and the future suddenly feels unreadable. Yet the song does not settle in despair. Instead, Lassen turns that moment of disorientation into something tender and unsettling at once - a meditation on faith, desire and the fragile hope that something still waits ahead. Love appears here as a force that can shift the ground beneath your feet, leaving you in a no man’s land where no one can tell heaven from hell.
With its cinematic atmosphere and emotional precision, "Under Your Spell" opens the next chapter in Lassen's solo work. It lingers in the blurred space between surrender and self-possession, spellbound and fully awake, held between the void and the promise of what may still come.
